Strategy Automation

Your trading rules, running 24/7 without you

Strategy Automation converts your written entry, exit, and position-sizing rules into a continuously executing bot — with every condition logged and visible in your azure-trust dashboard.

What strategy automation actually means here

Strategy automation at Ashford & Whitaker is not a pre-packaged signal service. You bring the rules — a moving-average crossover, a breakout condition, a time-of-day filter — and our platform encodes them into a structured decision engine that runs on our servers in real time. The bot checks conditions on every incoming price tick, calculates position size according to your formula, and routes the order to your connected broker. Every step is written to a structured log that you can query from the dashboard at any time. We support conditional logic with up to eight nested IF/THEN branches, multiple instrument monitoring in parallel, and scheduled strategy switches (for example, a different set of rules during earnings season).

How the build process works

You begin with a strategy intake session — typically 90 minutes over video call — where one of our specialists maps your rules into our logic schema. You receive a written specification document within 48 hours describing every condition in plain English alongside the encoded version. After your sign-off, we run a mandatory backtest phase (see our Backtesting service) before the bot goes live in paper-trading mode for a minimum of five trading days. Only after you review the paper-trading log and confirm it matches your intent do we switch to live execution. Changes to strategy logic follow the same review cycle, so there are no surprise deployments.

What you receive at the end

Concrete deliverables, not vague promises.

Strategy specification doc

A plain-English + encoded document you can keep, audit, or hand to a third party for review. It describes every condition, every operator, and every fallback state the bot can enter.

Live execution dashboard

A real-time feed of every order decision: the condition that fired, the price at evaluation, the order size sent, and the broker acknowledgement timestamp — all in one azure-toned screen.

Alert notifications

Email and optional webhook alerts when the bot opens a position, hits a risk limit, or encounters a broker connectivity issue. You decide which events trigger an alert.

“The specification document was the detail I didn't know I needed. Reading my own strategy written out formally made me realise I had two conflicting exit rules. We fixed that before a single live order went through.”
